James Develops New Skills and Friendships

James develops news skills and friendships

James joined Caringbah Craft Centre as a recent school leaver. Wanting a place to come to where he could use his hands, James decided to give the enterprise hub a go.

At first, James and his family were a little unsure about whether he had the skills to operate equipment. He was also very shy.

Right from the start, James was made to feel very welcome by the centre’s friendly support team. They looked at his interests, strengths and areas for development, and then worked with James to set up a routine and safe work stations.

James has settled in really well and particularly enjoys assembly and painting. He has built a strong bond with the team, and is happy, confident and connected.

In James’ words, “I have fun. It’s great!”
