Message from the CEO
Sylvanvale has taken great strides forward this financial year.
We invested in the largest and most significant technology project that the organisation has ever undertaken. It will replace some of our key systems to streamline our processes, meaning more time with the people we support and less on paperwork.
Because our employees are key to Sylvanvale’s ongoing success, we continued to focus on recruiting the right people and hired over 200 new employees this past year.
This financial year, we were excited to enter Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA) partnerships with Sylvanvale Foundation, Enliven Housing and Good Housing. These collaborations will result in more contemporary housing options for people with disability.
Delivering quality services and ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the people we support are our highest priorities at Sylvanvale. It was therefore pleasing to have attained a successful quality and safeguards audit this year. This result was confirmation that the standard of our services is meeting the requirements of the Quality and Safeguards Commission, and importantly the expectations of the people we support and their families.
Throughout this time, our staff continued to work with the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 in the community.
To the Sylvanvale team, I thank you for your enduring hard work and dedication, no matter what the circumstances. Thank you to my Executive Team for the considerable time and energy you invest in strategic and operational leadership.
Thank you also to the Board of Directors for your strategic guidance and support, enabling Sylvanvale to continually look for ways to do things better.
I would also like to acknowledge our supporters and sponsors for the significant contribution you make.
Finally, thank you to you, the people we support and their families, for your trust in what we do.
By continuing to work together, we can ensure Sylvanvale’s ongoing success well into the future.
Leanne Fretten
